The Cleveland County Fair will hold two special booth decorating contests for churches and non-profit community organizations during Christmas as the Fair. The fair will offer a total of $500.00 in cash for each category ($300.00 first place, $150.00 second place and $50.00 third place). Plus, booths will be available to these special groups and churches “at no charge” during the Christmas at the Fair event December 3rd, 4th and 5th.


The three day event will attract crafters, food vendors and businesses from across our area. Many of the vendors from this years’ Cleveland County Fair will be participating in the Christmas at the Fair event. The hours will be 10 AM – 9 PM Friday and Saturday December 3rd and 4th and 12 Noon – 6 PM Sunday December 5th.


In addition to vendors and food, there will be entertainment (Christmas theme) in the Goforth Hall featuring individuals, local groups and church choirs. Entertainment times are still available if you or your group would like to perform. There will be a petting zoo for the kids, along with tram rides around the fairgrounds and of course…. Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus!!!!


8x8 booths are available for rent inside the Dorton Hall for $200.00 and outside spaces are also available for $200.00. Electricity is an additional $25.00 charge. General admission for adults ages (13 and over) will be $3.00, three cans of food or a new toy. Children ages 12 and under will be admitted FREE!!! All can food donations and new toys will be given to the Greater Cleveland County Baptist Association for distribution to needy families/individuals during the Christmas season. The fair is also seeking your Christmas decorations that are no longer used. If you have Christmas decorations stored in the attic, closet or garage gather them up and drop them off at the fairgrounds (1751 E Marion St Shelby NC) or call us and some of our personnel will come and pick them up.
