P R E S S R E L E A S E 07/05/08 contact: Fuchia Allen Cleveland County Fair Manager 704-487-0651 Gary Claxton The Mouth of the South Appearing on the Performing Arts Stage, October 3 and 4, at 7pm. If you think you’ve seen it all, guess again. Gary Claxton, of rural Cedar Crossin’, Georgia, is a Christian Country Comedian. His “G” rated humor is bound to bring a chuckle to any skeptic. Gary has performed at The Grand Ole Opry, Six Flags, and Dollywood. He hosts his own radio show and is a regular columnist of the Georgia Outdoors Newspaper. He has two CD recordings, titled “I’m a Po Boy”, and “Country Livin’”. Gary talks about the “good ‘ole days”, that maybe weren’t so good. He says he is “from the backwoods of the poorest county in South Georgia and grew up in the world’s poorest family. My parents were so poor they couldn’t afford to have children. The neighbors had to have us.” His father could neither read nor write, but Gary had determination to persevere. He went on to become the first member of his family to graduate from college. Claxton includes an inspirational message and ends all his performances with Christian testimony. Gary Claxton is just good, clean fun!
