P R E S S R E L E A S E 6/25/08 Hogway Speedway Racing Pigs Contact: Fuchia Allen Cleveland County Fair Manager 704-487-0651 Look out Lowe’s, there’s another Speedway in town. Pig racing is taking the South by storm. Circle C Farms from Newton, NC, is bringing the perennial favorite Hogway Speedway racetrack back to the Cleveland County Fair for another year of animal racing fun. Owners Dennis, Sharon, and Brent Cook host the hilarious happening. It’s not just for pigs anymore, either, although the NASCAR driver themed pigs are the all time favorites. There are also racing goats, geese, and pot-bellied pigs. However, the pigs seem to know it is their special sport. So don’t miss this fair favorite fun. Hoggy Jarrett and Piggy Gordon are waiting to hear your cheering voice at the track. Look for the Hogway track on the midway near gate 14. Races start daily at 5pm, 7pm and 9pm, with extra 3:30 shows on weekends. There’s a 1:30pm show on Tuesday, September 30, for the seniors; and there’s a 9:30am show on Wednesday, October 1 and Thursday, October 2, for Kids Days.
